Monica was born in a small community in northwest Arkansas, where her relatives still operate a family-owned winery. You can see the likenesses of her ancestors in the beautiful paintings and stain glass windows of the Church of St. Mary in Altus, to this day. When she was 5, her family moved to Memphis, where she grew up while going to catholic schools.
After graduating, Monica married her husband, Jack. They have three wonderful children, and have lived a few places in Louisiana and Texas before settling here in Colleyville. When her children were young, Monica was a teacher/catechist in the SMA/Parents’ Day Out program at St. Michael, because she has a heart of gold, and loves children.
Monica’s current title is Administrative Assistant, and it is she who makes all the bulletin insert copies every week, as well as the worship aids for funerals and other services, plus all the registration form/information packets needed for the different ministries and classes. Additionally, she orders office supplies and keeps the supply closet stocked. Monica is also in charge of the kitchen, making sure it is kept clean and well organized, and ensuring that the ministries that use it know how to do so properly. She also assists the Available Angels, Ladies Bazaar and Leisure Years groups.
Monica is an excellent cook, too. Just ask any of the Available Angels or any staff member.
